My Story

In July 2022 I experienced “Burn Out”.  It took me six months to recover and during that period I decided to completely change my life.  It was time to make a much bigger impact on the education system.  I have therefore set up MW Education, our vision is to eradicate the need for offsite Alternative Provision for those children who have experienced Trauma.  Through my own experiences I am dedicating my life to expand the knowledge and understanding of all school staff about Trauma and how it impacts a child’s ability to learn, their behaviour and how it impacts on us as adults in those environments.  How do we as adults regulate our own emotions and triggers to meet the needs of the children in our care.  How we teach behaviour is as fundamental as any other subject.

I started my career in Education in 1994, over the decades I have led schools as an Executive Head teacher, delivering hours of training and I am hugely experienced in the area of Behaviour having led an AP Academy and SEMH Special School.  I am dedicating my work life to make lives better for children and staff in school.  My WHY is to eradicate the need for AP provisions for children who have experienced Trauma by delivering high quality training to make schools Trauma sensitive and staff aware of the impact of Trauma on children.  Hand in hand with this is enabling staff to grow to understand their own emotional agility when it comes to supporting students with Trauma and their behaviour.
